The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services into the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency explained it's alarmed with regards to the large range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office focused on service the area on a daily basis. The support place established for intervention ordeals a high influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it tough for your office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional means to help the servicing of all prospects and maximize usage of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
